Who is NWA Prays Together?
NWA Prays Together is a collective of many kinds of Jesus followers across Northwest Arkansas who choose to pray about the same thing together once a week with a simple email. We are diverse across denominations, race, language, neighborhoods, careers, ages, and stages, and we are unified in worshipping God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and praying for each other, our region, and our world.
This community is not the place for us to define the details of our important doctrinal stances. We need our local churches for that, where we can engage with God and Scripture in the community that Jesus instituted. And it isn’t another social media forum for us to debate our differences—the world already has those.
What we do not have as often are places where we can join in the prayer and worship on the shared things that are most important.

As our differences in society seem to want to tear us apart, we declare that God’s news is as good now as it has ever been and that we are already watching the Father’s faithfulness here in our community, our homes, and our lives. We assert that Jesus has not left us as orphans and is at work here and now in our lives and our world. Although the present and the future may confuse or overwhelm us, they are not too big for God. We can trust Him, because He gives a good, sure, and glorious Hope—and that can change how we live and treat each other right now.

We want to invest now in the things that will last long after we are all set to rights.

Not because we are perfect, powerful, or self-possessed, but because we are not.
Because our brokenness needs the Father’s faithfulness.
Because our arrogance needs Jesus’s humility.
Because our suffering needs the Holy Spirit’s compassion.
Because our isolation needs the community of the Body of Christ.
Because we want to be there as God forms His people
into a beautiful, encouraging, winsome witness—
even as we struggle, even as we are imperfect—
right here in our home in Northwest Arkansas,
until we get to our greater Home.
So, for now, we join together in the gathered prayers of the people of Northwest Arkansas.
