What do you believe?
We are Christians. Our essential agreement is that we trust in Jesus as revealed in the Old and New Testaments. Among this community, we have many important distinctives, but we share what is most important. The most timeless and beautiful summary of this faith is found in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.

SCRIPTURE
We believe that the Old and New Testaments are God’s Word and show us Who God is. They are authoritative and true, and we are accountable to what God reveals and says in them.
GOD

We believe that God is revealed in Scripture to be Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Three-in-One. The Trinity was never made and will never end.
God is all-powerful. God is Maker and King over all creation, history, humankind, and time, and is perfect, faithful, good, loving, righteous, just, merciful, holy, and true.
PEOPLE
Humans are made in God’s image in order to have a relationship of joy and trust in Him. We have inherent value and dignity because we are made by Him, and because He loves us.
Humanity has rebelled from a relationship with God, and we have been rightly judged. Our brokenness is too large for us to overcome on our own strength. We cannot do enough to fix the broken relationship between humans and God. We cannot restore all of the other things in ourselves, our relationships, or all of creation that have been broken as a result.
JESUS
The second person of the Trinity is the Son, Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human. He was never made but has always been with the Father and the Spirit in a perfect Trinity. He willingly stepped into human history being made a human to perfectly and sacrificially live, die, and be raised from the dead in order to rescue us from our sins. When we trust Jesus and accept the gift that He freely offers, our broken relationship to the Trinity can be restored, and our lives can be reordered into right relationship with God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that in Jesus’s forgiveness and restored relationship, we are offered a vibrant and living relationship with the Holy Spirit, who marks us as God’s own, works transformation in our lives, and knits us together into a community of the Redeemed. Out of many peoples, God is making one Body, the Church.
THE CHURCH
We believe that those who trust in Jesus have been adopted into God’s family and sealed by the Holy Spirit. That makes believers in Jesus from throughout time and all over the world family with each other. These believers are flawed people who need forgiveness and who receive it from a good and gracious God. They will need and depend on God, bringing faults and failures, needs, and weaknesses to Him in continual dependence.
The local church is the hub where Jesus’s people live out that story. The life we live now in the Holy Spirit is the beginning of the eternal life that will be lived in Jesus and with His redeemed community in God’s eternal Kingdom.
